🎄 Small Town Christmas Shop Hop Comes to Dunlap on November 7th

The Dunlap Mercantile and a coalition of local retailers are hosting a full-day shopping event designed to bring neighbors together during the holiday season. The Small Town Christmas Shop Hop invites residents and visitors to explore Dunlap’s downtown businesses while enjoying coffee, lunch, and seasonal cheer.

📍 Event Details and Participating Shops

The Shop Hop runs Saturday, November 7th, from 10 AM to 6 PM across multiple Dunlap locations. Participating businesses include The Dunlap Mercantile, Game Shack Cafe, Natural Affinity – Handcrafted Herbal Essentials, Firefly on Rankin, and Sunny Valley Thrift, along with other local venues. The event also features Sequatchie Valley Brewing and Local Depot as stops along the route.

🛍️ What to Expect

The event is designed as a social outing as much as a shopping opportunity. Visitors are encouraged to bring friends, grab coffee, browse curated selections of clothing, accessories, home décor, and gifts, and pause for lunch at one of the participating dining spots. The tagline-“Small Town. Big Christmas Magic.”-captures the spirit of supporting local businesses while building community connections during the holiday rush.

💡 Why It Matters

Shop Hop events like this one strengthen the local economy by directing holiday spending toward neighborhood retailers and restaurants. They also create informal gathering spaces where residents reconnect and discover new favorite shops-a particularly valuable tradition in smaller communities where foot traffic and retail visibility can make the difference between thriving and struggling businesses.
