📚 Books & Beyond: Free Weekly Program Brings Stories, Crafts, and Community to Elementary-Aged Kids
The Sequatchie County Public Library in Dunlap is welcoming school-aged children back for a fall season of hands-on learning and creative play. The weekly Books & Beyond program offers families a no-pressure way to explore reading, art, and friendship during the October sessions.
๐ When and Where to Join
Books & Beyond meets on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. for children ages 5-12. The October sessions are scheduled for October 14, 21, and 28. Note that no regular programs will be held during Fall Break, October 5-9. Families are welcome to drop in without advance sign-up-just show up and participate.
๐จ What to Expect Each Week
Each session blends storytelling with creative activities designed to keep young minds engaged. Participants will enjoy hands-on crafts, games and challenges, and opportunities to connect with other children in a welcoming library environment. The program emphasizes creativity, reading, and building friendships in a relaxed, inclusive setting.
๐ก Why Drop-In Programs Matter
By removing barriers like registration requirements, the library makes it easier for families to participate on their own schedule. This approach helps reach children who might benefit most from structured, enriching activities during after-school hours-whether they’re looking for a creative outlet, a chance to make new friends, or simply a fun way to spend a Wednesday morning.
