🏅 Faith & Family Community Care Giving Together
The Spencer Church of God of Prophecy will welcome families to its annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) from July 23-25, 2026. The event will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. each evening, with snacks provided for all attendees. Everyone in the community is invited to participate.
This year’s VBS theme, “Wanted by God,” will engage children in faith-based learning while also emphasizing the importance of community service and giving back. The church will host a special meal on Sunday, July 26, immediately following classes, providing an opportunity for families to gather and celebrate together.
A key component of this year’s VBS is a community outreach initiative. The church is collecting donations of nonperishable food items—such as canned goods and noodles—as well as household and personal care items including toilet paper, soap, and deodorant. The goal is to assemble at least 10 donation baskets to distribute to families in need throughout the community. All donations must be received by July 26, 2026.
Those interested in sponsoring a basket or making donations can contact the organizers directly. Reach out to Kinsey Hurst at 931-808-2204, Marina Young at 931-316-5203, or Selena Flatt via Facebook. The church is located at 432 College Street, Spencer, TN 38585.
