🐾 MARC Releases October Newsletter With Adoption Stories, Free Microchip Clinic, and Spooky Season Events

Marion Animal Resource Connection, the nonprofit serving animal welfare across Marion County, has published its October reMARCable News with updates on adoptions, community events, and resources for pet owners in the region. The monthly newsletter highlights success stories alongside upcoming opportunities for residents to support local animals.

📰 What’s in This Month’s Newsletter

The October edition features several sections designed to keep the community informed and engaged. Happy Tails celebrates a long-waiting dog who has found a permanent home, while the Animals of the Month section introduces a featured cat and dog currently available for adoption. A Breed Spotlight marks National Pit Bull Awareness Month, exploring why these often-misunderstood dogs make devoted companions. The newsletter also includes a Community Action segment encouraging residents to get involved in Marion County animal welfare efforts.

🎃 Upcoming Events and Services

MARC has announced several October activities for the community. A Costume Parade and Hocus Pocus movie fundraiser are in the works, offering family-friendly ways to support the organization. Most immediately, a FREE microchip clinic is scheduled for October 17th-this Saturday-providing an accessible way for pet owners to ensure their animals can be identified if lost. Microchipping is a simple, permanent form of pet identification that significantly increases the chances of reuniting lost pets with their families.
