🏐 Community Rallies Behind Bledsoe County Volleyball Team's State Tournament Run

When a high school athletic program sets its sights on the state tournament, the costs add up quickly-travel, lodging, meals, and equipment all strain a school budget. The Bledsoe County High School volleyball team’s journey to state became possible thanks to a broad coalition of local businesses, professionals, and community members who stepped forward to sponsor the girls’ trip.

📍 Local Support Makes the Difference

The team’s success on the court is only part of the story. Behind every athlete heading to state is a network of people who believe in them. Bledsoe Telephone Cooperative, Walker Land and Auction Company, The Law Office of Howard L Upchurch, Citizens Tri-County Bank, and First Farmers & Commercial Bank all contributed to covering the full cost of the trip. 💼

Individual sponsors-including Judy Henry, Melanie Henry, Dr. Kristy Walker, and Diane Hannah-joined the effort alongside local service providers like DC Electric, Steve Perry Construction, WKA Plumbing, and Campbell's Tree Service. Construction firms B2 Construction and Farmer & Morgan also backed the team, as did real estate professionals at Crye-Leike Brown Realty and community members Brian and Rachel Wyatt. ✨

🤝 Institutional and Faith Community Support

Support extended beyond private business. Bledsoe County Board of Education and Bledsoe County Food Service ensured the program had institutional backing, while Cold Springs Baptist Church added faith community participation to the sponsorship roster. Together, these sponsors covered everything the girls needed for their state tournament experience. 🙏

💙 What This Means for the Team

When a community invests this comprehensively in its young athletes, the message is clear: your achievement matters to us. The girls heading to state carry not just their own hopes but the collective support of dozens of local businesses and individuals. That kind of backing can fuel confidence, reduce financial stress on families, and reinforce the bonds between school and community. 🏆
