🎓 College Admissions Workshops Come to Sequatchie County High School in October 2026

As students across the region begin thinking about their futures, Sequatchie County High School is bringing college representatives directly to campus this fall. Three major institutions will host on-site workshops, giving local students a chance to explore their options without leaving Dunlap.

📅 What’s Happening & When

College admissions representatives will visit the school’s Student Lounge throughout October 2026. The schedule includes:

• Thursday, October 15 – TCAT Upper Cumberland, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
• Friday, October 23 – Maryville College, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
• Wednesday, October 28 – Vanderbilt University, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

💡 Why This Matters for Local Students

Bringing college reps to campus removes barriers for students exploring post-secondary paths. Whether students are considering a technical education through TCAT Upper Cumberland, a regional liberal arts college like Maryville, or a major research university like Vanderbilt, having admissions professionals on hand allows them to ask questions, learn about programs, and understand what each institution offers-all during the school day. 🏫

For families in the Sequatchie Valley and surrounding areas, these workshops represent an accessible way to gather information about diverse educational options without travel. Students can learn about application requirements, financial aid, campus life, and program offerings directly from the people who make admissions decisions. ✨

📍 Location & Access

All workshops take place at Sequatchie County High School, located at 7067 Tennessee-28 Scenic Highway in Dunlap. Students should plan to visit the Student Lounge during the scheduled times. For questions about the workshops or to confirm details, contact the school at (423) 949-2154.
