Bon Air Mountain Community Church Food Pantry Giveaway in Sparta, TN – 125 Pounds of Food 🍱

Upper Cumberland communities rely on local churches to bridge food-access gaps, and Bon Air Mountain Community Church continues that mission with its monthly pantry giveaway. On Thursday, October 22nd, the church will distribute substantial boxes of groceries to families across the region who line up along the highway in Sparta.

🗓️ When It Happens

The food pantry giveaway takes place on Thursday, October 22nd in two time windows: 9 a.m. to noon and 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. 📅 If you arrive after noon, you’ll need to return during the evening slot to receive your box.

📍 Where to Go

Line up along the highway at Bon Air Mountain Community Church, 6389 Crossville Highway, Sparta, TN. The church will begin letting people in at 9 a.m. sharp. 🚗

✨ What You’ll Receive

Each household receives one box per address, and these aren’t small packages-each box contains roughly 125 pounds of food. 📦 That’s a substantial amount of groceries to help families stretch their budgets and reduce food insecurity in the Upper Cumberland.

🎟️ How to Participate

Simply drive up and line along the highway. There’s no registration, no application process-just show up during one of the two time windows. One box per address. The church asks for patience on distribution day; Pastor Rodney Ritchie notes that the phone lines will be busy, so calling ahead may not be practical. 📞

❤️ Why This Matters

Food pantries like this one are lifelines for families facing temporary hardship, job transitions, or fixed incomes. By offering 125 pounds of groceries monthly, Bon Air Mountain Community Church demonstrates the “little church, big heart” mission printed on their materials-turning community care into action. 💪

Mark your calendar for Thursday, October 22nd, and bring a friend or family member who might benefit. If you know someone in the Sparta area who could use support, share this information with them. 🤝
