🏠 Allergy-Friendly Carpet Now Available in Ooltewah – Mohawk SmartStrand with Pur-Ease Technology

For homeowners in the Chattanooga metro area who’ve hesitated to install carpet due to allergies, a new option is now on display locally. Contract Flooring-Chattanooga‘s Ooltewah Flooring Gallery is showcasing Mohawk SmartStrand® with Pur-EaseTM, a carpet line designed to reduce common household allergens while maintaining the comfort and style carpet lovers want.

🧬 How Pur-Ease Technology Works

Pur-Ease uses naturally derived probiotics integrated into select Mohawk SmartStrand carpets to help reduce common household allergens including pet dander, pollen, and dust mites. According to Mohawk testing, the technology reduced certain household allergens by up to 75% compared with untreated carpet. ✨ For families managing allergies-whether from pets, seasonal pollen, or dust sensitivity-this represents a middle ground between avoiding carpet altogether and accepting allergen buildup.

💡 See It in Person

The Ooltewah Flooring Gallery invites residents to experience the carpet firsthand. Visitors can see the available colors, feel the softness of the material, and consult with flooring experts about whether Pur-Ease is right for their home. The showroom is located at 6719 Mountain View Rd, Suite 117, Ooltewah, TN, and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For questions, call (423) 521-3567. 📍

The introduction of allergen-control carpet technology reflects a broader trend in home design: making comfort accessible to households with health considerations.
