🧙‍♂️ Sequatchie County Public Library Hosts Harry Potter-Themed ‘Scoops ‘n Stories’ Family Event

The Sequatchie County Public Library is teaming up with a local ice cream partner to bring wizarding magic to families across the valley this fall. The Harry Potter-themed celebration combines storytelling, crafts, and treats-a reminder of how community institutions continue to create gathering spaces for all ages.

📚 What to Expect at ‘Scoops ‘n Stories’

On Monday, October 19, the library will host “Scoops ‘n Stories: Wizards, Wands & Waffle Cones,” a family-friendly event celebrating the beloved Harry Potter series. 🎨 Attendees can enjoy library-provided crafts and bookmarks with a wizarding theme, creating hands-on memories while exploring the magic of reading. Ice cream will be available for purchase separately, adding a sweet treat to the afternoon.

🤝 Community Partnership in Action

The event reflects the library’s collaborative spirit-staff highlighted the partnership with Udder Yum Ice Cream Shoppe as “a great team,” underscoring how local businesses and institutions work together to strengthen community bonds. 💡 These kinds of themed events help introduce younger readers to the library as a hub for imagination and discovery, not just a place to borrow books.

Families interested in attending should contact the Sequatchie County Public Library for specific timing and details. The event offers a perfect opportunity for parents and children to spend an afternoon together celebrating stories, creativity, and community connection. ✨
