🏞️ Fiery Gizzard State Park Seeks Public Input on New Visitor Center Design

Tennessee State Parks is inviting the public to shape the future of Fiery Gizzard State Park in Monteagle by sharing feedback on plans for a new Visitor Center. The survey represents an opportunity for regular visitors, occasional explorers, and those hoping to visit to influence how the park serves its community.

📝 What the Survey Covers

The initial public feedback survey is part of a broader Visitor Center Replacement & Enhancement Concept Study designed to guide decisions about the park’s future. Tennessee State Parks wants to understand how people currently use the park, what barriers or improvements could enhance their experience, and which services and information a new visitor center should prioritize. ✨

Survey responses will be weighed alongside practical planning factors including environmental conditions, site access, park operations, cost, and constructibility. This means visitor input becomes part of a larger conversation that also considers the park’s physical landscape and operational realities.

🗓️ Timeline and How to Participate

The survey remains open through October 31, 2026. Visitors can respond by scanning a QR code or accessing the survey online. Whether you visit Fiery Gizzard frequently, have stopped by once, or dream of exploring the park someday, your perspective is welcome. 💭

❓ Why This Matters for the Valley

Fiery Gizzard State Park draws visitors from across Southeast Tennessee and beyond, making it a regional destination for outdoor recreation and natural beauty. A thoughtfully designed visitor center can improve the experience for everyone-from families seeking trail information to experienced hikers looking for park history and amenities. The survey ensures that decisions reflect what the community actually needs, not just what planners assume. 🌲

For residents of the Sequatchie Valley and surrounding communities, this is a chance to help shape a public space that serves local recreation and tourism for years to come.
