🙏 East Valley Baptist Church Launches Daily Prayer Wagon in Dunlap

East Valley Baptist Church in Dunlap has introduced a “Prayer Wagon”-a daily prayer initiative designed to keep the congregation connected through shared intercession. The program invites church members and community friends to pray for those facing health challenges, loss, and life transitions, with an open invitation for anyone to add names to the growing prayer list.

📋 How the Prayer Wagon Works

The Prayer Wagon moves daily through the church’s prayer cycle, with members encouraged to check the current prayer list and lift up those named in their own prayers. The church has made it simple for the community to participate: anyone wishing to add someone to the list can simply post their name in the comments on the church’s social media updates. This approach transforms prayer from a solitary practice into a visible, collective act of care.

❤️ Who’s on the Prayer List

The current prayer list includes individuals facing medical challenges, families grieving recent losses, and those navigating difficult seasons. Among those named are members like Kendra Scarbrough, Jordan Reel, and Denise Thurman, as well as families including the family of Jo Ewton and the family of Axton Robertson. The list reflects the real struggles and joys of a faith community committed to bearing one another’s burdens.

💡 Why This Matters for the Community

Prayer initiatives like the Prayer Wagon serve as a visible reminder that no one faces hardship alone. In a valley community where neighbors know neighbors, a shared prayer practice strengthens the social fabric and offers tangible spiritual support during vulnerable times. For those grieving, recovering, or struggling, knowing that a congregation is actively praying creates a sense of belonging and hope.

East Valley Baptist Church invites anyone in the community to participate-whether as a member of the congregation or simply as a neighbor who believes in the power of prayer. Those wishing to add names to the Prayer Wagon can reach out through the church’s social media or contact the church directly at (423) 883-0532.
