🎸 Live Music Lineup Brings Rock, Full Band Energy, and Open Mic Nights to Spencer

The Ugly Mug Bar & Grill in Spencer is hosting a weekend of live performances that showcases both established acts and community musicians, offering something for rock fans and aspiring performers alike.

🎤 This Weekend’s Performances

Matt Goedken takes the stage with a 70’s acoustic rock and roll show, bringing classic vibes and intimate guitar work to The Ugly Mug. The following night, Ninth Sun delivers a full band experience, promising a more energetic, ensemble-driven performance. Both shows reflect the restaurant’s commitment to hosting diverse musical talent and creating a welcoming venue for live entertainment. 🎵

🎶 Open Mic Night Returns Monday

The Ugly Mug is also hosting Open Mic Night on Monday, October 26th, hosted by Jeremy Best, a singer-songwriter. The event invites musicians and vocalists to bring their guitars and voices, offering performers a platform to share their work in a supportive community setting. Performances begin at 5:30 PM, and entry is free-participants simply need to sign up. 🎼

Open mic nights serve as important gathering spaces for local artists, amateur musicians, and music lovers. They create low-pressure opportunities for performers to test new material, build confidence, and connect with fellow musicians and audiences in their region. For Spencer-area residents interested in live music or looking to perform, these regular events provide accessible entry points into the local music scene. ✨
