🎨 Wooden Wreath Painting Workshop Comes to Dayton on December 5th
Fine artist Nela Renae Swiney is hosting a hands-on art class in Dayton this December, offering residents in the region an accessible way to create holiday dΓ©cor while learning mixed-media techniques in a supportive studio setting.
π Workshop Details & What to Bring
The class takes place Saturday, December 5th from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 110 Main Street, Suite 101, in Dayton. ποΈ The $80 fee covers all supplies-paints, brushes, and a wooden wreath are provided, so participants arrive ready to create without needing to gather materials beforehand. Snacks and water will be available throughout the session, making it a comfortable, social experience.
No prior drawing or painting experience is required. Attendees simply select their paint colors and bring their own creative vision to the wreath. The intimate class size is capped at 10 students, with a minimum of 4 participants needed to hold the workshop. π―
β Who Can Attend & How to Register
The workshop is open to adults ages 16 and up. Pre-registration is required for all participants and can be completed through Nela Renae Swiney‘s website. Those who need to cancel should notify the studio in advance; cancellations made without notice may incur a $25 surcharge. π

π‘ Why This Matters for the Community
Workshops like this one strengthen the local arts scene by creating opportunities for neighbors to gather, learn, and make something meaningful together-especially during the holiday season when handmade gifts and dΓ©cor carry extra significance. For those curious about art but uncertain where to start, a guided class removes barriers and builds confidence. π
