π Van Buren High School FFA Skills Team Heads to Nationals in Indianapolis
For the first time in school history, Van Buren High School is sending its FFA Skills Team to compete at the National FFA Agricultural Technology and Mechanical Systems CDE in Indianapolis. π§ͺ What the Competition Entails
The National FFA Agricultural Technology and Mechanical Systems CDE is no ordinary contest. β¨ Team members will face intensive technical written exams, navigate five individual skill stations, and collaborate on team problem-solving activities that test their grasp of advanced agricultural technology, modern machinery operation, and critical thinking under pressure. Success requires not only technical mastery but also strong communication and the ability to work seamlessly as a unit.
πͺ Community Pride and Support
The Van Buren school district and broader community are rallying behind the team as they prepare to compete on the national stage. π This achievement reflects years of dedication from the students, their instructors, and the agricultural education program that has cultivated their skills and passion for the field. The team’s journey to nationals underscores the value of hands-on learning and career-focused education in rural Tennessee communities.
