🪓 Small Town Hatchet Hosts Saturday Competition Day in Dunlap – Double-Elimination Tournament with Cash Prizes

Small Town Hatchet is bringing competitive axe throwing to the Sequatchie Valley this Halloween weekend, inviting local throwers and their crews to test their skills in a structured tournament format with real stakes and community bragging rights on the line.

🎯 Tournament Format & Entry Details

The competition takes place Saturday, October 31st, with doors opening at noon for registration and competition starting at 12:30 PM. 🪓 The event runs a double-elimination format across two 10-man brackets, allowing players a second chance if they lose their first match. The top three finishers from each bracket advance to a single-elimination finals round where cash prizes and gift cards await the winners.

Entry is $35 per player. Interested competitors can reserve their spot by responding to the event post or messaging Small Town Hatchet directly to secure a place in one of the two brackets.

⭐ What’s at Stake

Beyond bragging rights, the top three finalists will compete for cash prizes and gift cards, giving serious throwers a reason to sharpen their aim and casual players a fun reason to show up. The double-elimination structure means even a rough start doesn’t end the day-a common format in competitive gaming and sports that keeps energy high and participation meaningful throughout the event.

🤝 Community & Competition

The venue is encouraging participants to tag their “throwing crew” and bring the friendly trash talk-a nod to the social, team-oriented culture that makes axe throwing venues popular gathering spots. Whether you’re a seasoned thrower or curious about the sport, the event offers a structured way to compete alongside neighbors and friends in a family-friendly setting. 🎉

Small Town Hatchet is located at 162 Cherry Street in Dunlap and can be reached at (423) 313-5883 for questions or to reserve your spot.
