📖 Dunlap Church of Christ Explores Biblical Leadership and the Role of Elders

In a Sequatchie Valley community where strong spiritual leadership shapes congregational life, Dunlap Church of Christ is diving into what it calls one of the church’s greatest-and most often overlooked-needs: faithful, godly elders who shepherd their people with biblical wisdom and care.

The congregation recently shared a sermon examining what Scripture teaches about church elders, their qualifications, and what effective spiritual leadership looks like in practice. 🙏 The message draws a parallel to organizational leadership more broadly, noting that strong direction and stability matter whether in a church, a business, or any community institution. The sermon is now available for anyone interested in exploring these biblical principles.

✨ Why This Matters

Leadership shapes culture and direction. The sermon explores how Christ has given elders the responsibility of shepherding His people, and how Scripture establishes specific qualifications and responsibilities for those who serve in this role. Whether you’re curious about church governance, interested in biblical teaching on leadership, or simply want to understand what your local congregation believes, this lesson offers a window into how Dunlap Church of Christ thinks about its own spiritual foundation. 💡
