🍂 Free Thanksgiving Drive-Thru Meal Comes to Sparta on November 23rd

The Expositor is bringing back its 2nd Annual GATHER Event, a free community Thanksgiving meal that reflects the Upper Cumberland’s tradition of neighbors supporting neighbors during the holiday season. The drive-thru format makes it easy for families across White County to participate without leaving their vehicles.

πŸ“ What to Expect

The GATHER Event will take place on Monday, November 23rd from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Sparta Civic Center, located at 514 E Bockman Way in Sparta. The meal is completely free and open to anyone in the community. Beyond the Thanksgiving dinner, organizers will distribute hygiene bags and snack bags to attendees-practical support that extends the spirit of giving beyond the holiday meal itself. ✨

🀝 Volunteers Needed

The success of the GATHER Event depends on community volunteers stepping up to help prepare, serve, and distribute meals and supplies. Those interested in volunteering can reach out to whitney@spartaymca.org or fill out the volunteer form linked in the event announcement. Whether you have a few hours or want to be part of setup and cleanup, your hands and heart make a difference. πŸ’ͺ

πŸ’‘ Made Possible by Local Generosity

The 2nd Annual GATHER Event is made possible by the Marty McFly’s Feed Sparta’s People Golf Tournament, showing how community fundraising efforts translate directly into meals and care for neighbors. This partnership demonstrates the interconnected ways local organizations work together to strengthen Sparta during the holidays and beyond.
