🏓 Pickleball Every Tuesday at East Sparta Church of God – Fun, Fellowship, and Fitness

East Sparta Church of God in Sparta, White County, is opening its Family Life Center doors every Tuesday evening for a community pickleball program that welcomes players of all skill levels. The weekly gathering reflects a growing trend across Upper Cumberland communities to blend recreation, social connection, and active wellness in accessible neighborhood spaces.

📍 When and Where to Play

Pickleball games run every Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Family Life Center on West Bockman Way in Sparta. 🎾 The three-hour window gives newcomers and regulars alike flexibility to drop in, warm up, and enjoy matches at their own pace. All skill levels are welcome, and the church encourages players to bring friends and family.

⭐ Why This Matters for the Community

Pickleball has become one of the fastest-growing recreational sports in rural Tennessee, offering a lower-impact alternative to tennis while building friendships and keeping adults active. 💪 By hosting the program at a community gathering space, East Sparta Church of God is creating a regular touchpoint where neighbors can connect, stay fit, and build relationships outside of traditional worship settings. For residents in Sparta and surrounding White County communities, a consistent weekly activity removes barriers to participation-no membership fees, no sign-ups, just show up and play.

🤝 Open Invitation

Whether you’re a seasoned pickleball player or picking up a paddle for the first time, the church’s emphasis on “fun, fellowship, and fitness” signals a judgment-free environment. ✨ Bringing a friend transforms the evening into a social outing, making it easier for people who might hesitate to try a new activity alone.
