🌽 Hickory Valley Produce Opens Farmstand in Sparta with Fresh Seasonal Produce and Artisan Breads
As summer produce season ramps up across the Sequatchie Valley, Hickory Valley Produce is stocking its farmstand with a robust selection of locally grown fruits, vegetables, and homemade specialties—a welcome addition to the region’s farm-to-table options.
Hickory Valley Produce, located at 4137 Hickory Valley Road in Sparta, announced a fully stocked farmstand open Friday with extended hours through 8 p.m. 🚜 The operation runs seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., making it convenient for early risers and evening shoppers alike. The farmstand operates on a self-serve honor system, accepting both cash and Venmo payments.
The produce selection showcases peak summer offerings, including seedless watermelon, Kentucky wonder green beans, peaches and cream corn, cantaloupe, and fresh-picked tomatoes in multiple varieties. 🍅 Shoppers will also find root vegetables like new potatoes, sweet potatoes, and Vidalia onions, along with seasonal fruits including peaches, apples, mangoes, and pineapples. Local honey and sorghum round out the farm products available.
A standout feature is the selection of fresh sourdough breads baked in-house, with eight varieties including garlic, Italian herb, cinnamon raisin, everything bagel, and jalapeño cheddar. 🥖 The farmstand also stocks chicken eggs and offers prepared items like southwest chicken salad for grab-and-go convenience.
New this season is “Farm Dust,” a house-made seasoning mix featuring jalapeño salt, alongside other specialty items like candied pecans, compound butters (cinnamon honey, garlic Parmesan, and spicy cowboy), and an extensive selection of canned goods. ✨ The inventory includes pickles in multiple flavors, lemonade and sweet tea concentrates, jams, jellies, salsas, and cowboy candy—many made in-house or sourced locally.
