Sunday Weather Update: Rain and Storms Expected Before Drier Pattern Moves In

Chase Bryant Weather is sharing an important weather update for Sunday, May 31st, with forecasts for the coming week ahead. The update will be posted at 8 AM CDT/9 AM EDT and will help residents plan their outdoor activities.

According to the forecast, scattered rain and storms will develop primarily during the afternoon and evening hours on Sunday and Monday. While the severe weather threat remains very low, locally heavy rainfall is possible with any storms that develop. If storms do turn strong, the primary threats will be gusty winds and small hail.

Sunday will feature a mix of sun and clouds with warm and humid conditions, with highs around 80 degrees. Monday will be slightly warmer, with highs between 80 and 85 degrees. Residents with outdoor plans over the next two days are advised to keep an eye on the sky and radar.

Good news is on the horizon, however. A drier pattern will move in starting Tuesday and continue through the end of the week, bringing lower humidity and excellent weather conditions. Highs will mostly remain in the 80s, with cool mornings in the 50s expected Wednesday and Thursday—a pleasant treat for early June.

The humidity is expected to increase again next weekend along with rain and storm chances, though temperatures will remain in the 80s for highs.
