Local Homeowner Raises Concerns Over Contractor’s Work Quality and Project Delays

A Tennessee property owner has come forward with serious concerns about work performed by Rowan&Co Contractors, specifically citing incomplete installations, safety issues, and significant project delays that extended far beyond the agreed timeline.

According to the homeowner, the contractor was hired in early March to build two sets of stairs and install iron fencing. The original contract specified the work would be completed in approximately one week, weather permitting. However, nearly three months elapsed before the project was ultimately terminated due to unresolved issues.

The homeowner reported experiencing repeated delays and missed deadlines throughout the project, with extended periods where no work was performed on the property. Multiple promises to complete the work by specific dates were not fulfilled, according to the account.

When a second contractor was brought in to inspect the completed work, significant deficiencies were identified. The inspection revealed that portions of the installation were improperly installed, uneven, and not properly secured or cemented. Safety concerns were also noted regarding the structural integrity of the work.

Additional issues included the use of incorrect materials in parts of the construction and the disappearance of materials that had been purchased with the homeowner’s deposit. The property was left with construction debris and scrap wood scattered throughout.

The homeowner acknowledged that staffing challenges can occur in the construction industry but stated they cannot recommend the contractor based on their experience. The contract was terminated due to the combination of incomplete work, safety concerns, and ongoing project delays.
