Above and Beyond RV is alerting Van Buren County residents to the serious risks posed by soft spots in recreational vehicles, urging owners to address the issue before minor problems become costly repairs.

Soft spots—areas of the RV floor that feel spongy or give way underfoot—are often dismissed as minor comfort issues, but they can indicate significant underlying damage. According to the Sparta-based repair service, these warning signs should never be ignored.

“When you feel that ‘give’ when walking across your floor or hear a ‘squish’ with each step, it’s not a comfort problem—it’s a red flag,” the company stated in a recent community alert. Soft spots can signal water damage, rotting wood, and structural concerns that may lead to exponentially higher repair costs if left unaddressed.

The repair service emphasizes the importance of early detection and professional intervention. By catching these issues promptly, RV owners can prevent small problems from developing into major structural failures.
